Maze has jumped back in the game with the newly updated Alpha X… so what’s different from the Alpha?
Well, they’ve slimmed down the X so it’s lighter and now has a slinky 18:9 ratio so it’ll snugly fit in your hand. They’ve also updated the X’s 18:9 ratio screen to an LG display protected by Coring Gorilla Glass 5, which is just what I like to hear!

The CPU (MediaTek Helio p25) and GPU (ARM Mali-T880) are the same as before but they have boosted the onboard storage from 64GB to 128 GB.

Design, Display & Build Quality
The overall design of the Alpha X is stylish and ultra modern. The unibody structure is made out of a Zinc Alloy frame with a glass sandwich design front and back.
If you’re thinking of buying the Maze Alpha X it’ll be for one reason and one reason only…that immense 18:9 tri-bezel-less screen!
Covering nearly all the phone with a full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080, it’s hanging out with the big boys of screen technology.
Using Coring Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and Gorilla Glass 4 on the back, the Maze Alpha X isn’t skimping when it comes to protection.
At 210 grams, the Alpha X isn’t the lightest but the 8.1mm thickness means that it’s still going to be pocket-friendly.
Screen Tech Specs: LG 6 inch display, 2160 x 1080 resolution, 403 PPI, Gorilla Glass 5 (front), Gorilla Glass 4 (back), 18:9 Aspect Ratio with curved edges.

Performance
Powering the Maze Alpha X is the mid-range MediaTek Helio P25 which offers premium performance at an affordable price. The Alpha X also comes with an impressive 128GB’s of storage and fast becoming industry standard of 6GB RAM.
There’s also a 64GB version, but with the small price-jump between the two, you’re better off going for the 128GB version.
Couple with this setup is the AMR Mali-T880 mobile graphics chip which easily plays all the latest Android titles smoothly on high-settings.

Camera
The Maze Alpha X (128GB) has a 16MP rear camera with an OmniVsion lens with LED flash. Unusally, the 64GB Maze Alpha X actually has a different rear camera lens and uses the 13MP Sony IMX258.
The selfie camera (on both models) is the 8MP Sony IMX219 lens. It also has an 84-degree wide angle lens with the added feature that we selfie queens adore… beauty mode!
Similar to other tri-bezel-less phones like the budget UHANS MX and the Elephone S8, the selfie cam has been moved to the bottom right corner to make room for more screen…which you won’t mind when the screen looks like that!
